Jessica Bebenek

Jessica Bebenek is an award-winning poet and writer living in Toronto. She graduated from York University with a BA in Creative Writing & English.

Jessica has featured at readings around Toronto and has been a regular contributor for Uncharted Sounds, The Flying Walrus, and The Town Crier magazines. You can find her poetry & prose in Grain, Carve, Echolocation, and Little Brother, among other places.

She is the founder of the micro press Grow & Grow (formerly Loose Ends Press.) She has two chapbooks: I, Family (2012) and The Novella Project (2013), co-written with Mark Jordan Manner.

Marjane Satrapi (Persian: مرجان ساتراپی) is an Iranian-born French contemporary graphic novellist, illustrator, animated film director, and children's book author. Apart from her native tongue Persian, she speaks English, Swedish, German, French and Italian.

George Saunders

George Saunders was born December 2, 1958 and raised on the south side of Chicago. In 1981 he received a B.S. in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He worked at Radian International, an environmental engineering firm in Rochester, NY as a technical writer and geophysical engineer from 1989 to 1996. He has also worked in Sumatra on an oil exploration geophysics crew, as a doorman in Beverly Hills, a roofer in Chicago, a convenience store clerk, a guitarist in a Texas country-and-western band, and a knuckle-puller in a West Texas slaughterhouse.

Jillian Tamaki

Jillian Tamaki is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Toronto. A professional artist since 2003, she has worked for publications around the world and taught extensively in New York at the undergraduate and graduate level. She is the co-creator, with her cousin Mariko Tamaki, of Skim and This One Summer, the latter of which won a Caldecott Honor in 2015. Imogen Binnie

Imogen Binnie wrote a monthly column for Maximum Rocknroll magazine for about nine years, as well as the zines The Fact That It's Funny Doesn't Make It A Joke and Stereotype Threat. Her novel Nevada was a thing, then it went out of print and it was less of a thing, and then it went back into print and became a thing again. She wrote for the TV shows Doubt, Council of Dads, and Cruel Summer. She also wrote an adaptation of the film "Love, Actually" which was set in Burlington, Vermont, in which all the characters were trans, but apparently it would violate "intellectual copyright law" to try to film it, so she posted it on Twitter.
