Jennifer Wagemans is een Haarlemse auteur die niets liever doet dan fantasyboeken lezen en schrijven. Als klein kind schreef ze al korte verhaaltjes en sprookjes op een ouderwetse typemachine of op zolder bij opa en oma, waar ze haar eigen floppydisk had. In groep 8 is ze begonnen met haar fantasyboekenreeks De Legendes van Pendar. Die is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een voltallige, zesdelige serie én een sprookjesbundel. Daarnaast heeft ze een korte feelgood geschreven, Losgeweekt, en werkt ze aan diverse manuscripten waar een vleugje magie en veel diversiteit centraal staan.
