Vystudoval všeobecné lékařství na 1. lékařské fakultě Univerzity Karlovy. Poté začal pracovat jako chirurg v Nemocnici Hořovice, v irském Dublinu a v současnosti v Nemocnici Na Františku v Praze.
Na první misi s Lékaři bez hranic odjel v roce 2010 na zemětřesením zdevastované Haiti. Později se do této země vrátil. Dvakrát pracoval v traumacentru Lékařů bez hranic v afghánském Kundúzu. Lékařskou péči poskytoval také lidem v Agoku na pomezí Súdánu a Jižního Súdánu. Celkem absolvoval s organizací šest misí, naposledy působil ve válkou zmítaném Jemenu. Svou zkušenost z misí popsal v emailech a článcích, které později vyšly i knižně. -
