James is my given name; most call me Jay. I grew up on Long Island and currently live in Connecticut, but I've traveled all across the US and various parts of the world. After college, I accepted roles working in technology, program management, and business operations in the retail, sports, entertainment, and media industries. Although I enjoy my career, I began to focus on other passions in 2016: telling stories and connecting people through words. My debut novel is 'Watching Glass Shatter,' a contemporary fiction family drama with elements of mystery, suspense, humor, and romance. From there, I've written other family dramas and an eight-book mystery series. To see samples or receive news from my current and upcoming books, please subscri

Pamela Burford
Pamela Burford comes from a funny family. You may take that any way you want. She was raised in a household that valued laughter above all, so of course the first thing she looked for in a husband was a sense of humor. Is it any wonder their grown kids are into stand-up comedy and improv? Oh, and here's another fun family fact: Pamela's identical twin sister, Patricia Ryan, aka P.B. Ryan, is also a published novelist. Patricia is the Good Twin, and yeah, Pamela knows what that makes her. But hey, Evil Twins have more fun.

Michele Pariza Wacek
A USA Today Bestselling, award-winning author, Michele taught herself to read at 3 years old because she wanted to write stories so badly. It took some time (and some detours) but now she does spend much of her time writing stories. Mystery stories, to be exact. They're clean and twisty, and range from psychological thrillers to cozies, with a dash of romance and supernatural thrown into the mix. If that wasn't enough, she posts lots of fun things on her blog, including short stories, puzzles, recipes and more, at MPWNovels.com.

DeAnna Drake
Are you looking for a break from the downer side of life? Me too! That’s why I write lighthearted cozy mysteries designed to lift your spirits while balancing the scales of justice, at least within the pages of my books. My stories always feature sharp-witted heroines who sometimes feel like they’re in over their heads (don’t we all?), a cast of quirky characters you’ll enjoy getting to know, and furry friends with surprising magical abilities. Magic always adds the perfect touch of excitement to a story. Don’t you agree?

Cat Clayton
Cat Clayton was a gypsy in a past life. In her current life, she’s a wife, a mother, a writer, and an artist. She writes best with gallons of coffee, Goldfish, Raisinettes, and dill pickle slices. Although, usually not all at once. Writing from somewhere in Texas, she loves to put her amateur sleuths into precarious situations, force them to stumble upon dead bodies, help them solve the whodunits. Think Murder, She Wrote, but with a contemporary & humorous chick-lit vibe. (Oh, and at least one hot cop.)

Yvonne Barlow
My early career took me to rural Zambia where I was a nurse-midwife for a volunteer agency. The role was challenging – hospital care, rural clinics and teaching midwifery theory to students. The life allowed me to see the world in a whole new light. I listened and learned from other cultures. While my children were young, I went back to university to study journalism. We were living in Texas, and good old Scottish nosiness gave me a break before I had even graduated. One of my lecturers said she didn’t know when the school had desegregated. It wasn’t rocket science but, using the old university newspapers, I found names and tracked down the first three black graduates. The series I wrote led to a job at the local paper and eventually to the
