Jaimie Franchi
Jaimie Franchi is a writer, college English instructor, gardener, and maker. Her short story "Finding Mimi" appears in Chalkboard Publishing's middle grade anthology You Never Know What You're Going to Get. Her writing for children has been supported by grants from Canada Council for the Arts, CBC RadioCanada and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. Her children’s picture book text Melt was shortlisted for the CANSCAIP Writing for Children Competition.
Her writing for adults has appeared in print in the literary journal filling Station, in the poetry anthology Poems for the Solstice, in Kitchen Table Magazine, in the journal Farmerish and in the former Athens Free Press.

Waubgeshig Rice
Waubgeshig Rice grew up in Wasauksing First Nation on the shores of Georgian Bay, in the southeast of Robinson-Huron Treaty territory. He’s a writer, listener, speaker, language learner, and a martial artist, holding a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is the author of the short story collection Midnight Sweatlodge and the novels Legacy, Moon of the Crusted Snow, and Moon of the Turning Leaves. He appreciates loud music and the four seasons. He lives in N’Swakamok - also known as Sudbury, Ontario - with his wife and three sons.
