J.M. Chrismer

I’m J.M. Chrismer, the author of Miso and Kili's Flying Adventures and the exciting new series, The Arizona Adventures! My stories are inspired by the wonderful animals in my life and the amazing children I’ve met along this storytelling journey. For example, Miso’s adventurous spirit comes from my real-life cat, Miso, who loves exploring and making new friends!
I can’t wait for you to read my books—I hope they spark your imagination and inspire you to set off on your own adventures. Remember, every reader today is an adventurer tomorrow!

Born and raised in Hungary, Barbara hopscotched her way across Europe—collecting memories, inspiration, and probably a few too many notebooks—before settling in Germany with her family (and her ever-growing tea stash).
By day, she works in HR (helping grown-ups), and by night, she writes books (helping little hearts grow big). She doesn’t drink coffee (though she loves the smell), but give her a cup of warm plum tea and a handful of pistachios, and she’s ready to take on any story.
