Dzejniece un rakstniece. Dzimusi 1976. gadā Rīgā. Beigusi Rīgas Centra humanitāro ģimnāziju (1993), studējusi literatūras teoriju, vēsturi un kritiku, kā arī teātra, kino un TV dramaturģiju Latvijas Kultūras akadēmijā.
Saņēmusi Klāva Elsberga prēmiju (1999), Annas Dagdas fonda balva (2004), Ojāra Vācieša prēmiju (2004, 2012), Dzejas dienu balvu (2007) un žurnāla "Latvju Teksti" balvu (2012). 2012. gadā saņēmusi Prozas lasījumu galveno balvu par stāstu "Piena ceļi". Kā arī Literatūras gada balvu par dzejoļu krājumu "Vai otrā grupa mani dzird?". Prozā debitējusi ar romānu "Stikli", kuram 2019. gadā sekoja "Skaistās". Ir sarakstījusi arī detektīvromānu "Neredzamie" un izdevniecībā Mansards izdots stāstu krājums "Piena ceļi".

Jáchym Topol was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to Josef Topol, Czech playwright, poet, and translator of Shakespeare, and Jiřina Topolová, daughter of the famous Czech Catholic writer Karel Schulz.

Dzimis tirgotāja ģimenē. Beidzis Franču liceju Rīgā 1943.gadā iestājās Latv.leģionā, kara beigās bija kaprālis prettanku vienībā. 1944 pēc kaujām pie Jelgavas nonāca Vācijā, nokļuva amerikāņu gūstā. Viivi Luik (1946)

Viivi Luik on pärit Viljandimaalt Tänassilmast – just seda kanti kirjeldab ka romaan „Seitsmes rahukevad”.

Samast romaanist tunneb ära tema kolhoosis töötanud ema ja rändelektrikust isa kuju.

Imelapsena eesti luulesse tulnud Viivi Luige esimene luuletus ilmus rajoonilehes 1962. aastal.

Oma esimese luulekogu ilmumise ajal (1965) oli autor 18-aastane. „Pilvede püha” ilmus luulekassetis „Noored autorid 1964” koos Jaan Kaplinski, Hando Runneli ja Ly Seppeli debüütkoguga.

Kokku on temalt ilmunud 10 luulekogu.

Kārlis Zariņš

Kārlis Zariņš dzimis 1889. gada 9. decembrī (26. decembrī pēc vecā kalendāra) Liepājā, zirgu puiša Jorēna Žagara un mājkalpotājas Annas Žagares (dz. Rukuta) ģimenē. Žagaru (jeb Zāgaru) ģimene gan mainīja uzvārdu un kļuva par Zaļumiem, tomēr K. Zariņa kristības apliecībā viņa uzvārds ir Žagars. Viņam ir jaunāka māsa Tusnelda Līne un brālis Rūdolfs.

Zariņa pirmā skola ir neliela Liepājas vācu privātskola iesācējiem, vēlāk – privāta vācu pirmmācības skola un krievu skola, kurā viņš mācās vien dažus mēnešus. 1898. gadā Zariņa ģimenes mājokli noposta ugunsgrēks un viņi pārceļas uz Pēterburgu. Sākumā ģimene apmetas pie radiem, vēlāk viņiem piešķir nelielu istabiņu psihiatriskās slimnīcas telpās, kur vecāki ir dabūjuši darbu.

Augusts Deglavs

Augusts Deglavs (1862–1922) – rakstnieks. Mācījies Auru pagastskolā, tālāko izglītību apguvis pašmācības ceļā. Sākotnēji strādājis A. Dombrovska kokzāģētavā, bet no 1891. gada darbojies tikai rakstniecībā un žurnālistikā. Bijis laikraksta "Dienas Lapa" redakcijas loceklis un "Jaunā Dienas Lapa" redaktors.
