Rakstniece Ilona Leimane dzimusi Rīgā 1905.gada 5.oktobrī namsaimnieku Jūlija un Lienes Hermīnes Leimaņu ģimenē. Jūlija Leimaņa māte Kristīne, dzimusi Endzelīna, bijusi valodnieka Jāņa Endzelīna māsa. Tas ietekmējis nākamās rakstnieces Ilonas Leimanes sevišķi lielo interesi par valodas bagātību.
Bērnībā Ilona vasaras pavadījusi pie vecmāmiņas un vectētiņa Ilzes un Indriķa Kļaviņiem Suntažu pagasta Eļmos. Apkārtējā daba uz meiteni atstājusi lielu iespaidu. Haratischwili was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she attended a German-language school. To escape the political and social chaos that followed the collapse of the Soviet Union, she moved to Germany for two years in the early 1990s with her mother, where she attended the seventh and the eighth grade of school. Eriks Ādamsons
Eriks Ādamsons was born in Riga on June 22, 1907. In 1926 he entered the University of Latvia to study law. He made his first publication in 1924. In the 1930s he fully devoted himself to literature. Ādamsons also worked as translator (he spoke, in addition to his native Latvian, Russian, German, English and French). He married young Latvian writer Mirdza Ķempe in 1931, but their marriage broke apart shortly before WWII.
