Heleen van Royen, geboren in 1965, schreef de bestsellers De gelukkige huisvrouw, Godin van de jacht, De ontsnapping, De mannentester en Sexdagboek, die bijna allemaal succesvol werden verfimd en bewerkt voor theater. In totaal verkocht ze tot nu toe ruim 1.7 miljoen boeken en in 2017 maakte ze de ontroerende documentaire 'Het doet zo zeer' over de dementie van haar moeder. Ze woont samen met Bart Meeldijk.

After Kluun's wife died of cancer, he started to write down his experiences in his first book "Komt een vrouw bij de dokter" ("A woman visited her doctor" - translated into English as "Love life") which wasn't well received by the critics, but sold 500.000 copies in the Netherlands.
