Stopień doktora nauk humanistycznych w zakresie historii uzyskał w 1998 r. na podstawie rozprawy doktorskiej Walki polsko-ukraińskie na ziemiach dzisiejszej Polski w latach 1943–1948, napisanej pod kierunkiem prof. Tomasza Strzembosza. Stopień doktora habilitowanego nauk humanistycznych w zakresie nauk o polityce w roku 2007 na podstawie rozprawy habilitacyjnej Ukraińska partyzantka. Działalność Organizacji Ukraińskich Nacjonalistów i Ukraińskiej Powstańczej Armii 1942–1960.

Robert Albert Bloch was a prolific American writer. He was the son of Raphael "Ray" Bloch (1884, Chicago-1952, Chicago), a bank cashier, and his wife Stella Loeb (1880, Attica, Indiana-1944, Milwaukee, WI), a social worker, both of German-Jewish descent.

Andrzej Sapkowski, born June 21, 1948 in Łódź, is a Polish fantasy and science fiction writer. Sapkowski studied economics, and before turning to writing, he had worked as a senior sales representative for a foreign trade company. Bolesław Prus (pronounced:[bɔ'lεswaf 'prus]; Hrubieszów, August 20, 1847 – May 19, 1912, Warsaw), whose actual name was Aleksander Głowacki, was a Polish journalist and novelist who is known especially for his novels The Doll and Pharaoh. He was the leading representative of realism in 19th-century Polish literature and remains a distinctive voice in world literature.
