Gabriella Parca

Nata a Castel di Tora (RI) e laureata in lettere all'Università di Roma, ha fatto parte del Centro Italiano di Antropologia Culturale dove è stata anche assistente alla cattedra di Civiltà Indigene Americane. Gabriella Parca ha seguito e documentato con grande interesse l'evoluzione dei costumi della società italiana del dopoguerra con particolare attenzione alla condizione delle donne. Nel 1972 è stata tra le fondatrici del mensile Effe, il primo rotocalco italiano di controinformazione al femminile mentre nel 1975 ha fondato uno dei primi consultori laici d'Italia, il Centro Problemi Donna (ora Centro Progetti Donna) di Milano.
Il suo libro più famoso, Le italiane si confessano (Parenti, 1959) ha avuto quindici edizioni ed è stato tradotto

Patrick Deville (born 14 December 1957) is a French writer and studied comparative literature and philosophy at the University of Nantes. During the 1980s, Patrick Deville lived in the Middle East, Nigeria and Algeria. In the 1990s, he regularly visited Cuba and Uruguay.

In 2011, Lire magazine editors selected Kampuchea as the best French novel of the year. His novel Plague and Cholera (life of the bacteriologist Alexandre Yersin) was one of the most prominent of the literary season (2012), and was a finalist in almost all French book awards. Goliarda Sapienza

Goliarda Sapienza was an Italian actress and writer. Goliarda Sapienza was born 10 May 1924 in Catania. Her mother was Maria Guidice, a prominent socialist, her father Peppino Sapienza, a socialist lawyer. As a child, Goliarda Sapienza reenacted films she had seen in cinema. In 1941 she and her mother went to Rome, where she studied theatre. She worked as an actor in both films and plays, but from 1958 she focused on writing. Her now famous novel L’arte della gioia (The Art of Joy) was finished in 1976 but rejected by publishers because of its length (over 700 pages) and its portrayal of a woman unrestrained by conventional morality and traditional feminine roles. It was first published by her husband Angelo Pellegrino after her death.

Carla Lonzi

Carla Lonzi (Florence, March 6, 1931 – Milan, August 2, 1982) was an Italian art critic and feminist activist, who is best known as the cofounder of Rivolta Femminile (Feminine Revolt), an Italian feminist collective formed in 1970.

In the early 1970s, Lonzi adopted a feminist stance in relation to art. She had grown to view art as being yet another part of a system of institutions and labour which enable unequal power relations and the overall oppression of women.
