FILIPE RIBEIRO DE MENESES nasceu em Lisboa, a 20 de Setembro de 1969. Licenciou-se e doutorou-se no Trinity College Dublin, e leccionando no Departamento de História da National University of Ireland, Maynooth. É investigador integrado do Instituto de História Contemporânea (IHC-FCSH/UNL) e autor de, entre outras obras, União Sagrada e Sidonismo: Portugal em Guerra, 1916- 1918 (2000), Franco and the Spanish Civil War (2001), Correspondência diplomática irlandesa sobre Portugal, o Estado Novo e Salazar (2005), Afonso Costa (2010), Salazar: uma biografia política (2010), Paiva Couceiro: diários, correspondência e escritos dispersos (2012) e A Grande Guerra de Afonso Costa (2015).

Sir Simon Michael Schama is an English historian and television presenter. He specialises in art history, Dutch history, Jewish history, and French history. He is a Professor of History and Art History at Columbia University.
