Farid Mostamand
Farid Mostamand was born in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and attended Kabul Medical School. In 1981, after the Russian invasion, Farid left his home country and moved to the United States. He was a practicing chiropractor until he wrote and published his first nonfiction book, Ageless Skin Obsession, in 2011. His second book, Open Your Eyes, is a memoir about his father, an Afghan ophthalmologist, who saved thousands of children from blindness. Farid has extensively studied Rumi's poetry and philosophy of living, and regularly writes inspirational articles based on them.
