Fang Fang

Fang Fang graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Wuhan University in 1982. She has published nearly seventy novels, novellas and essay collections. Many of her novels and novellas were published overseas in English, French, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Korean and other languages. Her representative works include the novels Chronicle of Wuni Lake and Water under the Time, and novellas The Scenery and Grandfather in the Heart of Father.

Dorothee Elmiger

Dorothee Elmiger is a Swiss writer. She presently lives in Switzerland. Elmiger is considered one of the most promising young Swiss writers, especially after winning the second Ingeborg Bachmann Prize, the Kelag Prize, in 2010.

After finishing school her primary schooling, Dorothee Elmiger went to New Hampshire before beginning her studies of philosophy and political sciences at the University of Zurich. She received her professional training at the Swiss Institute for Literature in Biel/Bienne and at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig, where she spent an exchange semester.

In 2008, she competed in Prosanova, a festival for new literature in Hildesheim. In 2009, she was a stipendiary at the literature course in Klagenfurt.

Mieko Kawakami

Mieko Kawakami (川上未映子, born in August 29, 1976) is a Japanese singer and writer from Osaka.

She was awarded the 138th Akutagawa Prize for promising new writers of serious fiction (2007) for her novel Chichi to Ran (乳と卵) (Breasts and Eggs).

Kawakami has released three albums and three singles as a singer.

Giulia Enders

Giulia Enders (born 1990) is a German physician and writer.

Enders is a two-time scholarship winner of the Wilhelm Undelse Heraeus Foundation and currently works on her doctorate of medicine at the Institute for Microbiology in Frankfurt.

In 2012 she won the first prize at the Science Slam in Freiburg, Berlin and Karlsruhe with her talk Darm mit Charme (Charming Bowels). This talk was also published on YouTube. Enders received the offer to write a book about this subject that has sat atop the German paperback charts shortly after the release in March 2014. The drawings for the book were made by her older sister, Jill Enders.
