From her 2022 diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer emerged My Breast Cancer Adventure: Or What Can Happen Following a Breast Cancer Diagnosis, while a life-altering accident to her husband brought about travelogues Itchy Feet & Bucket Lists: A Global Adventure and Bucket Lists and Walking Sticks: An Unexpected Adventure.

When not planning future travel or dealing with unexpected surprises, Emma likes to play lawn bowls.
