Amanda Cale

I was born and raised in North Carolina. I've been working on the Riddle universe since November of 2001, and just recently finished the first book in the trilogy.

A lot of what inspired me didn't come until after college. Even though I grew up in North Carolina, the setting of the book wasn't my home until much later. Thanks to my senior history paper, I was inspired to create a background element for the story that would add some history to the fictional town of Salt's Creek.

I'm currently working on the sequel to Riddle, and I'm pretty excited with the direction the story has taken.

Lisa Preston (1964- ) turned to writing after careers as a fire department paramedic and a city police officer. Experience in her earlier professions enhance the medical and legal passages of her fiction and non-fiction.

Pete Zacharias received a BA in English with a concentration in creative writing. He is a lover of Nordic noir, dark thrillers, and anything spy, and credits Michael Connelly’s The Poet as the novel that inspired him to become a writer. The Man Burned by Winter is Pete’s first novel.

Lynne Heitman was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended Southern Methodist University where she completed her bachelors and masters degrees, both in business administration, and spent one season as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader.

After graduating, she went to work for a major airline in the finance department. Her career in the airline business spanned fourteen years and included a variety of assignments in finance, operations, and human resources. Deb Richardson-Moore
