Edmundas Malūkas gimė 1945 m. balandžio mėn. 15 d. Skuodo rajono Ylakių kaime. Mokėsi Rietavo vidurinėje mokykloje. Baigė Veterinarijos akademiją. Dirbo Neringos veterinarijos stoties viršininku. Vėliau persikėlė gyventi į Vilnių, dirbo Zoologijos ir parazitologijos institute. Baigė Maskvos patentologijos institutą.
