Jo Priestley is a Yorkshire writer who has written ten books (and counting) in the 'Women of Old Yorkshire' collection of standalone historical love stories. She has been referred to as 'Yorkshire's own Catherine Cookson' which she considers a fine accolade, as she was her mum's favourite author.
Jo grew up with tales around the fireside in the faded glory of her Irish grandmother's ancient house. It created the perfect atmosphere, and a life-long love of storytelling was the legacy her grandmother left behind.
Jo wrote the novels for over ten years before publishing in 2023, and 'The Calling of Highbrook' was her debut; a psychological, twisting, turning love story set on the North York Moors. All the tales have a sprinkling of grit in vary
Jo de-Lancey is a fantasy writer from the U.K. She wanted to be an author from a very young age, and used to while away the hours writing stories about enchanted scarecrows – which she’d then read to her older brother and his friends. Yes, she now cringes about this, but everyone has to start somewhere and with some sort of audience.
She’s since left the scarecrows behind in favour of thieves, pirates and magic. A love of the classic Final Fantasy and Zelda games drew her towards the fantasy genre, as well as the desire to create her own world. Her debut novel, The Crystal Shore, is the first in a series of four.

In December 2024 I published my second book, Motherhood -- a poignant but funny tale about how there is more than one way to be a mother. The idea behind it is that a woman doesn't have to have a baby to be a mother; she can 'mother' other things, from friends' or siblings' children to her pets or even creative projects. Hugh Lansdown is a Welsh wildlife photographer who has travelled extensively, and his images have appeared in hundreds of books, magazines and other publications across the globe.
He is also heavily involved in conservation at home in Wales, working for local wildlife charities, carrying out habitat management work and giving talks about wildlife conservation.
He is the author of a series of children’s books about wildlife from different countries around the world which are based on his photos, with links to various on-line media.
