Diana Lieberman

Drs. Diana and Milton Lieberman are tropical biologists who live on their small coffee farm in the mountains of Costa Rica. Prior to the utterly serendipitous launching of their work as “kid-lit” authors, they enjoyed lengthy and peripatetic careers in university teaching and research (University of Ghana; University of North Dakota; University of Georgia; California State University Monterey Bay). Diana’s academic training was in tropical botany and forest ecology (Ph.D., University of Ghana); Milton’s was in evolutionary ecology and environmental biology (Ph.D., University of California, Irvine). They have published (and continue to publish) research articles in scientific journals on a wide range of subjects, from food habits of baboons
