Danette Byatt

Danette Byatt lives in Southwestern Ontario, Canada where she creates all sorts of fun projects when she’s not out hiking, swimming and exploring — or burning up the dance floor (aka her living room).

Danette’s favourite stories to tell contain uplifting messages of love and magic. She also adds delightful small details, humour and whimsy to everything she does.

Her author-illustrated sci-fi picture book WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE (WorthyKids) published March 2023. It has a message of having hope for a bright future.

She also illustrated ROCK AND ROLL WOODS (Spork, written by Sherry Howard) under the pen name Anika A Wolf and won the Page Street Kids Prize in 2019 for her dummy SHOOT! A LOVE STORY.
