DAN DOBOŞ s‑a născut la 31 iulie 1970. A urmat cursurile Universității Tehnice „Gheorghe Asachi“ din Iași, iar după absolvirea facultăţii, în 1994, a ales o carieră jurnalistică, publicînd în cei şaptesprezece ani de activitate jurnalistică peste 1000 de reportaje, editoriale şi interviuri. În prezent este redactor-șef al cotidianului Evenimentul din Iași.

Pentru o lungă perioadă de timp a editat Supernova, cel mai longeviv supliment dedicat literaturii SF (cu apariţii între 1992 şi 2001). A publicat povestiri și articole în reviste și antologii, a tradus din Terry Pratchett (Trilogia nomilor) și Roderick Gordon și Brian Williams (seria Tunele).
