D.M. Mirasdar

Dattaram Maruti Mirasdar (Devanagari: दत्ताराम मारुती मिरासदार) (born 1927) is a Marathi writer and narrator principally of humorous stories. He hails from Pandharpur(Maharashtra).

Many of Mirasdar's humorous stories revolve around village life in Maharashtra. However, some of his stories concern the serious social issues and lives of the poor living in villages. His stories Gavat, Ranmanus, Kone Eke Kali, Bhavaki, Hubehub, and Sparsha belong to the latter class.

For some years, Shankar Patil, Vyankatesh Madgulkar, and Mirasdar jointly presented, in different towns in Maharashtra, highly popular public recitations of their short stories.

Mirasdar was a professor of Marathi in a college in Pune. He is currently the Acting President of Maharasht

Vyankatesh Digambar Madgulkar (Marathi: व्यंकटेश दिगंबर माडगूळकर) (1927–2001) was one of the most popular Marathi writers of his time. He became well-known mainly for his realistic writings about village life in a part of southern Maharashtra called Maandesh, set in a period of 15 to 20 years before and after India's Independence.

Suhas Shirvalkar (Devnagari: सुहास शिरवळकर ) (15 November 1948 – 11 July 2003) was a Marathi writer from Maharashtra, India. Shirvalkar wrote Social Novels, Detective Stories, Short Stories, One Act Play, Newspaper Columns, Poems etc.

Matkari's first work, the one-act play Wedi Manase,was presented in 1955 on All India Radio in Mumbai.His play Pahuni was presented the next year at another venue.
