Ian R. Lazarus has been publishing technical articles and opinion pieces in various magazines since 1989. “The Con” was his first novel, drawing from his international business travels across five continents. A native of Detroit and graduate from the University of Michigan, he now lives in San Diego with his wife, three children, and occasionally a cat. Mr. Lazarus is a certified sailor, advanced scuba diver, and “Six Sigma” blackbelt. He is also Staff Officer, Publications, for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Division 114-01-01.
I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from UC Berkeley, I spent several years working in large high-tech companies, mostly focusing on new communication technology. While in college, I also founded a short-lived local literary magazine.
In my free time, I do what I am told by my wife, children, cats, and dogs, in that order. I also enjoy sailing.
