D.F. Brent Sr., born in 1976 grew up in the sleepy rural town of Eustis, Florida. In 1996 he left to join the U.S. Navy for 6 years. During this time he was involved in boarding operations and combat efforts during the opening salvos of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon leaving the Navy, D.F. Brent Sr. went on to receive his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science/ Theory from University of South Florida. After graduation D.F. Brent took his military training to work at a SRI International's Center for Maritime and Port Security Research and Development Center. After several years working in R&D, D.F. started his own business in Maritime Security and Information Sharing. It was during this time that D.F. Brent finished his MBA in Information
