Chris Scott
After exploring the Sahara in 1980s, I wrote Desert Biking in 1993. That evolved into today's Adventure Motorcycling Handbook, now in its 6th edition. I also co-wrote several editions of Australia for Rough Guides and worked on other RG titles. Desert Travels, a Saharan travelogue came next, then Sahara Overland, Overlanders Handbook, and Morocco Overland, all for Trailblazer Guides. I also enjoy updating Trailblazer's British walking guides once in a while.
I recently reprinted Desert Travels alongside a new book: Adventures in Motorcycling, an urban motobiography paralleling the DT era of the 1980s, but telling a quite different story.

My name is Stephen Peter Muir, I live at the edge of England's beautiful Lake District National Park with my beautiful wife, Rosemary. I won't say quite how old I am, but Noah says to tell you all, 'hi.'
"So what about your writing, Stephen?" I hear you ask. It's funny, but it seems I began writing as soon as I could hold a pen. Poetry and short stories mainly. I wrote my first novel while I was still at school; a thriller called 'The spoilers'. It was so bad that I duly filed it in the nearest dustbin! Fantasy soon became my main love, though.
My first novel to be published, The Talisman of Wrath, is the first book in a fantasy -

David Wittlinger
David Wittlinger and his wife Lynn share their home with three rescued dogs of dubious lineage. Aside from writing, David's other hobbies include playing the banjo (poorly) and tinkering with an endlessly changing selection of old cars in his garage. He wrote his first novel in 2013. Despite wistfully dreaming of life in a climate without snow or humidity, the author is a lifelong resident of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

His first book, Portal To Elysium, was inspired by a dream the author had about a window to the after-world. His second book, The Strong One, is about a lost young woman who finds her inner strength after a traumatic event. Originally from Southport in England my wife, Paula, and I, lived and worked in the USA for 15 wonderful years, and then moved to Spain to enjoy a quiet life in the endless sunshine of the Mediterranean.
