Carol Haden
A running theme in Carol’s life passed down from her mother and grandmother has been fostering compassion, empathy and understanding. For her beginning career, Carol was a critical care nurse in the ICU and Emergency Room for 25 years. Motherhood, caring for family, community, friends, and exploring her creative side have engaged her since. It was a fun project for her to write this children’s book in an entertaining way to showcase the concepts of tolerance, acceptance and not making snap judgements about others.
In Carol’s spare time, when not golfing with her husband and friends, they love spending time in the mountains of Virginia with their four children and seven grandchildren.

Legends have always fascinated me. Do they give your children a sense of wonder too?
As an Australian poet, it's hard to find work in the Outback. But there are children all over the world struggling to learn how to read. Some of them have hardly any books in their native language.
That's why I created the Bilingual Legends series – to give as many children as possible the opportunity to read a story in their own native language. Usually, each book in the series is published in the language spoken in the land where that story originates. A typical book also includes the text in English, but in some cases Spanish, Portuguese, German, or another l -

I’ll start writing this book today.” And since that day, this passion project has slowly but surely come to fruition.
