Her latest novel ANY HUMAN POWER is a 'seismic' Mytho-Political thriller which lays out a Thrutopian road map to a flourishing future we’d be proud to leave to the generations that come after us.
Welding the power of intergenerational connection to combat the sting of death and the vicious vengeance of a dying establishment, it opens the doors to a new way of being.

An expert on horror and sci-fi cinema (his books of film criticism include Nightmare Movies and Millennium Movies), Kim Newman's novels draw promiscuously on the tropes of horror, sci-fi and fantasy. He is complexly and irreverently referential; the Dracula sequence--Anno Dracula, The Bloody Red Baron and Dracula,Cha Cha Cha--not only portrays an alternate world in which the Count conquers Victorian Britain for a while, is the mastermind behind Germany's air aces in World War One and survives into a jetset 1950s of paparazzi and La Dolce Vita, but does so with endless throwaway references that range from Kipling to James Bond, from Edgar Allen Poe to Patricia Highsmith.

My roots are very firmly Cornish, and although I was born in Liskeard, I haven't lived there since I was six and we moved 'upcountry' to Devon. Since then I've been moving even more 'upcountry', to Bristol where I did my teacher training, to Forest Gate in Newham where I had my first teaching, and from there to Oxford, where I worked for BT for three years, and then Waltham Abbey. Finally to Norwich where my sons grew up and I taught music. Norwich is a wonderful place to live, but after twenty or so years, it was time to move again, this time to be with my partner, now my wife.
