Born in southern California, Kathy and her husband of 41 years moved to Palm Springs five years ago. She is a former HR Director and Marriage and Family counselor. She is on the board for the Palm Springs Writers Guild and the Friends of the Palm Springs Library. She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Voices for Children. Her stories come from all these experiences, based on real life experiences.
Stitches was released six years ago by a vanity press and Kathy has retained the rights, rewrote, republished, and relaunched the first of the Heritage Art Park Series April 6, 2021 to great reviews. Canvas, book two in the series, will be launched in May 2021, and Pages will follow soon after.
Arthur Telling, writer and philosopher, native of San Francisco, California, practitioner of metaphysics in Berkeley, Califronia, has written numerous articles and books on the nature and meaning of life. His articles appear regularly in OM Times magazine online. His article "A Different Jesus Message" was published in the AMORC November 2011 online Rosicrucian Digest.
Richard Hill was the first adoptee to identify his birth family through genetic genealogy DNA tests. He shared his story in an award-winning book, "Finding Family: My Search for Roots and the Secrets in My DNA.” He has founded two websites on DNA testing, most recently, DNAFavorites.com. Richard gives presentations on genetic genealogy topics both virtually and in person. He is a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and the American Adoption Congress. He lives in Michigan with his wife of 57 years.
Butterfield's first career was as an actress, with an emphasis on Shakespeare and the classics. She performed in New York and regional theatre, but soon decided she wanted to try her hand at writing plays. Her first play, "Joined at the Head," was a hit at the Manhattan Theatre Club. Eventually, events led her writing for film and TV in Los Angeles. ("The Ghost Whisperer," "FAME LA," "Party of Five." ) Two years ago as a result of an inspiring trip to France, she wrote her first novel, "The Serpent and the Rose." Her second novel, "Manhattan Triptych," is contemporary fiction.
Heather Hester is the founder of Chrysalis Mama which provides support and education to parents and allies of LGBTQIA adolescents, teenagers, and young adults. She is also the creator/host of the Top 1% podcast Just Breathe: Parenting your LGBTQ Teen. As an advocate and coach, she believes the coming out process is equal parts beautiful and messy. She works with her clients to let go of fear and feelings of isolation so that they can reconnect with themselves and their children with awareness and compassion. Heather also works within organizations via specialized programming to bring education and empowerment with a human touch.
