I’m pretty sure my love of storytelling began one summer night years ago, as I sat by a camp bonfire and listened to a counselor tell a ghost story, The Monkey’s Paw, which made my heart pound and my imagination run wild. The memory still makes me shiver.

Now, I’m thrilled to share my first book with the world. It's a true crime with echoes of the Holocaust, called THE CRATE: A Story of War, a Murder and Justice.

Alice Zorn lives in Montreal, Canada. Her new novel, Colours in Her Hands, welcomes the reader into Mina's curious, sometimes puzzling, sometimes frustrating world.

Her novel, Five Roses, was nominated for the Ontario Library Association's 2017 Evergreen Award and has been translated into French.

She has also published a novel, Arrhythmia, and a book of short fiction, Ruins & Relics, which was a finalist for the 2009 Quebec Writers' Federation First Book Prize.

Roya Hakakian (Persian: رویا حکاکیان) (born 1966 in Iran) is an Iranian-American poet, journalist and writer living in the United States. A lauded Persian poet turned television producer with programs like 60 Minutes, Roya became well known for her memoir, Journey from the Land of No in 2004 and essays on Iranian issues in the New York Times, The Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and on NPR.
