Anja Feliers

Anja Feliers is geboren op 31 augustus 1971 in Bilzen (Limburg). Ze groeide op in het dorpje Rekem (Lanaken). Daar woonde ze samen met haar vader en haar moeder, haar zes jaar oudere broer en met haar bomma en bompa.

Als kind vond je Anja meestal spelend op straat terug. Samen met haar vrienden bouwde ze hutten, speelde ze voetbal, zocht ze naar salamanders, raapte ze kastanjes... Als ze maar buiten kon zijn!

Op zevenjarige leeftijd ontdekte Anja de magie van boeken. Tijdens een week ziek-zijn bracht haar broer voor haar een stapel boeken mee uit de bib. Een wereld ging open. Sindsdien bezocht ze de bib wanneer die maar open was om haar portie leesvoer op peil te houden. Toen Anja elf werd stierf haar moeder aan een gemene ziekte. Een periode
