Andrea Pyros

I was born and raised in New York, but spent summers and school breaks with my father and his family in Tarpon Springs, Florida, a small Greek fishing community on the Gulf Coast. As the child of divorced parents, I was alone quite a bit, so I read... a lot.

I went to Vassar College and then grad school at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Now I live in New York's Hudson Valley and work as a freelance writer.

I grew up in Hertfordshire, with one younger brother, two dogs and one cat. And some parents.

I always loved stories and jokes. Even though I was absolutely terrible at spelling and grammar, I wanted to be a writer. I didn't know how to do that though, so I did a degree in Sociology and then worked lots of random jobs, while telling people that I wanted to be a writer.

Jane Harrington

Jane Harrington teaches creative writing and literature at Washington & Lee University and is a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA).
