Amedeo Cencini es sacerdote, licenciado en Ciencias de la Educación por la Universidad Salesiana y doctor en Psicología por la Universidad Gregoriana. Posterior se especializó en Psicoterapia. Desde mayo de 1995 es consultor de la Congregación para los Institutos de Vida Consagrada y las Sociedades de Vida Apostólica.
